Blind Owl - Debut At Dusk (1987)

The one and only album from this band from USA.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This band was based on the east coast of USA, in the area bordering to Canada. They had a local reputation but their CD did not sell anything outside that area. Maybe due to poor distribution and marketing. Through the likes of ProgArchives, the album has now got some attention.

The music is a mix of neo-prog and AOR. There is also some Kansas influences in their music.

The vocals are thin but OK. The sound is the 1980s sound. Very much plastic and is lacking in muscles and fat.

There is not many interesting details here. The AOR bits are pretty poor.

That said, this is a decent enough album. But this album deserve it's obscurity. The AOR crowd may appreciate it, though.
