Wyatt. Robert - Cuckooland (2003)

The seventh album from this artist from Great Britain.

Robert Wyatt did the vocals and some piano, keyboards, percussion, cornet, trumpet and drums.

He had help from a lot of guests who did drums, bass, guitars, woodwinds, accordion, harmonica, keyboards and backing vocals.

Seventy five minutes long..... Seventy five minutes with mostly droning vocals. That is this album in a nutshell.

There are a lot of trumpet and some other instruments here too. There are also some instrumental pieces here.

The music is at times also pastoral. The tempo is slow to very slow. Droning in other words.

Robert Wyatt's vocals is very good and he has managed to come up with a couple of good songs here too. But most of this album is failing to really capture the attention of the listener. There is too much of barely decent songs here.

The result is a decent album and so far his weakest album. For fans and collectors only, I am afraid.
