The one and only album from this band from England.
The band was a seven pieces big band with a lineup of bongos, drums, xylophone, bass, guitars, keyboards, saxophones, clarinet, flute and vocals.
I discovered too late that this is a compilation of unreleased recordings from 1972 and 1973. It was released as this seventy minutes long box because of the popularity of Sammy Rimington who are a legend in the jazz scene..... I have been told. This was his first band. A couple of Armada members also joined Roxy Music and Curved Air after Armada were disbanded.
The music on this album is a mix of fusion, jazz, eclectic prog, soul and blues.
The sound quality is fair enough as being a box with more or less cleaned up 1972-73 recordings from someones vault.
The vocals is also good and Sammy Rimington shines. I need to check out this guy's music....
The quality of the music is decent enough and fans of early 1970s fusion should check out this album.
