Socrates Drank the Conium - On the Wings (1973)

The third album from this band from Greece.

The band was now a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

The band returned again as a twin-guitars combo.

The music was more or less hard rock with a psych rock twist. The blues was still evident. Led Zeppelin and to a lesser degree Black Sabbath was the references here. The Welsh bands Budgie and Man is also good references.

The music still has a psych rock element.

The music on this half an hour long album is half decent. This band was not among the best song writers or musicians in the scene. Their band name and then cooperation with Vangelis is the only reason why this band ever got a fanbase and is still remembered.

Unless obscure hard rock from the 1970s is your thing, this is an album well worth bypassing and that by many miles.
