Diabolus - High Tones (1972)

The one and only album from this British band.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, organ, piano, keyboards, flute, saxophone and vocals.

This band recorded this album, gigged a lot and broke up. They forgot about this album and only became aware of it thirty years later. Royalties payments was not something they had seen........

That was the norm back then and pretty much even now. A great shame but true. The music bizz has always been piranha infested water.

The music on this album is a mix of hard rock, eclectic prog, brass rock and symphonic prog.

This album is pretty unique sounding as there is very few other bands, if any, with the same sound. The music here is very original.

The vocals is really good and the mix between the instruments is really good. So is the sound too.

This is an album well worth checking out. When it comes to quality, it is somewhere between decent and good.

Check out this album.
