The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, organ, keyboards, talk box and vocals.
This band album debuted back in 1970 and that is more than fifty years ago. Albums has followed on a more sporadic basis since the debut album.
The band was a psych krautrock band back in those days and one of the best krautrock bands too.
I have tonnes of respect, admiration and love for this band and their career. That even when they changed style and genre to much more straight rock. That after doing some hard rock for a while.
I have indeed reviewed most of their albums in previous blogs and that was great fun.
Open Up sees the band explore the rock genre. The result is a rock album with some blues, funk and soul influences.
The result is not bad at all.
Some of the music is decent and some of the music is good. The band deserve respect for this album.
