The third album from this band from France.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
The band had help from numerous guests who supplied drums, bass, guitars and keyboards.
The band returned again after a ten years break. Time to think and time to change the persons involved. Vivien Lalu on keyboards is the only remaining member of Lalu. The excellent ex Threshold vocalist Damien Wilson has taken over the vocals duties.
Vivien Lalu has also ditched the outdated heavy metal sound. Lalu anno 2022 sounds like a hybreed between progressive metal and art-rock. Throw in some neo-prog and heavy prog too and you get the drift.
The music is now much more elegant and clever. It is also pretty much mid-tempo and it has got some quirky twists and turns too.
The song writing is still not great.
Nevertheless, this is a good album and a huge improvement on the two first Lalu albums.
