Congreso - La Loca Sin Zapatos (2001)

The 15th album from this band from Chile.

The band was a seven piece big band with a lineup of tarka, marimba, drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano, keyboards, woodwinds and vocals.

This band had now become a national institution in the free, democratic Chile.

The band has been dabbling with jazz, progressive rock, pop and avant-garde during their long career.

The basis has always been folk rock. Or folk prog.

The music here is progressive folk rock with some psych rock influences. There is also some acid rock here.

The woodwinds adds a lot of flavour to this one hour long album.

The flavour is mostly South American/Latin American and that makes it an exotic album for those of us living in other parts of the world.

The quality is good and the band has again delivered a good album who enhances their very good reputation.
