The fourth album from this drummer from Japan.
Yusuke Ando played the drums on this album.
He had help from a handful of guests who added bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
I was not impressed at all by his second album, the 2020 album Rinntensei. Wishy washy cinematic fusion.
....And this is what I believed Solidary Faith would bring me too. I was in for a surprise.
Mr Ando had got together a band and he has gone 1970s hard prog on this album.
Take 1970s hard prog, a bit arena rock, symphonic prog and neo-prog. Then you get this album.
The sound is the British take on these genres. Yes, Arena and IQ is good references.
The music is smart, clever, has a lot of interesting details and dynamic songs.
The band, I believe this is now a full band, knows what they are doing and the songs are very good.
This is one of the more positive surprises from last years crop of albums. Check it out !
