Drudkh - Eternal Turn of the Wheel (2012)

The ninth album from this band from Ukraine.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

If my memories serves me right, going ten years back and based on my own reviews, this band was a mix of folk rock and black metal on their first albums.

That is no longer the case on their last two albums.

We get epic, ultra-fast black metal here with a lot of blastbeats and ultra-fast guitars. Ditto for the vocals.

The music is pretty much traditioal black metal in the Norwegian vein. This although the band comes from Ukraine.

There are a few pieces of acoustic guitars here too and the music has got some keyboards on most of the songs. This just to add some more epic greatness to the pieces of music.

The music is pretty decent though. It is not particular progressive and it is leaning a lot on the black metal spawned in the cold forests in Scandinavia.

If still sounds like something you would check out...
