Ruphus - Inner Voice (1977)

The fourth album from this band from Norway.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

A guest added some percussion.

This band has been hopping between the prog rock and jazz/fusion genres on their first three albums.

Their first two albums were within the symphonic prog genres with some folk rock and heavy prog influences. Their third album was a fusion album.... and...

..The new album is a fusion album. Fusion with a lot of jazz influences.

The vocals are female vocals and they are really good. Sylvi Lillegaard has a good jazzy voice and her vocals perfectly suits this music.

The jazz/fusion here is pretty laidback and funky. There are a lot of good guitars here too.

The result is a good album. It is an album well worth checking out.
