The second and so far latest album from this project from Ukraine.
This is a one man band where Vladimir Goraschencho did the percussion, guitars, synths and keyboards. He also composed everything here.
He had help from around twenty guests who provided drums, woodwinds, strings, bass, timpani, guitars, synths, choirs and vocals.
For some reasons, this band has been labeled as neo-prog. Nothing could be further from what comes out of my speakers. And there is nothing wrong with the speakers in my office.
As with their debut album, the music is a mix of neo-classical music and musicals. Off Broadway musicals, that is....
The musical bits has a mix of grim male vocals and some melodic female vocals. Their songs are down the folk rock end of the musicals spectrum. Les Miserables kind of musicals.
The neo-classical music is big, bold and not particular interesting. This eighty minutes is a bit bereft of original thinking and ideas.
It is a decent album, though.
