The sixth album from this band from Norway.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, glockenspiel, percussion, bass, guitars, harpsischord, piano, organ, clavinet, mellotron, keyboards, synths, flute and vocals.
A guest added congas on some tracks.
This band is a band at the more eclectic end of the Norwegian prog scene. Their albums, with the exception of their new album, has Norwegian vocals and lyrics. Most of them pretty silly and in the Daevid Allen mould. Their music is also pretty simple too.
On this album, the band has at least upped their game when it comes to music and not only concentrated on the vocals and lyrics as they did on the previous album Bydyra. An album which was pretty much a turkey.
The music here is a mix of folk music and psych rock. Acid folk is the right label here. There is even some Canterbury prog here and the album has a lot in common with Daevid Allen's solo albums.
Both the music and the lyrics is playful. Mostly Norwegian lyrics, that is. There is one song with English lyrics here too.
This album is an improvement on Bydyra but not by much. I am still to be won over by this band, I am afraid. If acid folk is your thing, though.....
