The debut album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, piano and vocals.
This band had a bit of a brutal experience with the music industry. This album was recorded in 1967, but their record label refused to release it. The band folded and then reformed. Warner, the record label, picked up this album and released it in 1970. Another album was then recorded and the band split after these two records.
Both albums was re-released in 2022 on CD by Esoteric Records.
The second album will be reviewed later this week in this blog.
The music here is a mix of beat, hard rock and psych rock.
The music is most of all psych rock. The music has a good vibe and is pretty charming too. There are some good songs here too and the band knew how to write good songs. The final song is the best here.
The vocals is good and the sound is pretty good.
This album is indeed a positive surprise from a band I was not aware of before I got their two albums. This album is indeed a hidden gem and well worth checking out.
