Slogans - Photosynthesis (1983)

The one and only album from this band from Italy.

The band was a sextet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano, synths and vocals.

This band were in the scene, gigged and released this album during a couple of years. Then they split up. Mellow Records got the master tapes and released it without any fanfare as the band was no longer around.

It is one of Mellow Records most unknown and obscure records.

The music is RPI..... But with some twists.

This album has a lot of neo-prog influences. It is basic neo-prog from the very beginning of that scene. It is still an RPI album.

The sound is thin and is lacking, sorely missing some muscles and power. Ditto for the music.

The music is pretty quirky and the vocals are good. There are some good stuff on this album.

Nevertheless, the thin sound makes this only a decent album and one only collectors of RPI albums should seek out and purchase.
