The second album from this band from Great Britain.
The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
The band was started by Rob Cottingham from Touchstones and his own solo-career.
The 2016 debut album Say was quite a good album who showed a lot of promises. It was an album quite close to what Rob did in Touchstones.
He has continued the same path with Nemesis. That means powerful, muscular heavy prog songs with a lot of female vocals. There is also some male vocals here.
Some of the songs are bordering to musicals songs too. The ballads, that is.
The music is well crafted and has a lot of interesting details. The music is also good too.
There is no doubts Cairo will become a big band in the progressive rock scene. They already are, based on this album alone. It will be interesting to see how far this band will go when it comes to commercial success.
Check them out.
