K'mono - Mind Out of Mind (2023)

The second album from this band from USA.

The band is a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

A guest added additional vocals and vocal harmonies.

The band is back again after their good 2021 album.

The band is still a trio and the sound is still the retro 1970s English symphonic prog sound.

The band has shed most of their eclectic sound and gone for some more lighter, yet complex music.

References are Yes, Gentle Giant, Camel and Goblin.

The vocals is a bit more darker than Jon Anderson so there is no reason to label this band a Yes copycat. Nevertheless, Yes fans will really embrace this band and indeed... this album. And rightly so.

The music is a bit more complex than symphonic prog and the band visits the Gentle Giant territory many times during these forty minutes.

This is mainly a symphonic prog album though and one the many fans of this genre will really appreciate and love.

This is indeed a very good album and one to really check out.
