The seventh album from this British band.
The band was an eight piece band with a lineup of drums, percussion, tubular bells, bass, guitars, mandolin, mandola, organ, piano, keyboards, synths and vocals.
Ten guests provided violins, vocals and narrations.
The band continued on from the three CD long 1996 album The Clockwork Fable. That album, three CDs and the two CDs on The Clockwork Prologue is more or less one album. You need both albums.
There are again long spoken words theatrical plays and narrations with some music in between the theatrics.
The music is a mix of neo-prog, theatrical rock and symphonic prog.
The music is good although the music is not what this album will be remembered for. It is all the theatrics I will remember this album for.
This is still a good album and one to check out.
