The third album from this band from Italy.
The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
A guest added flute throughout this album.
This band is one of the more eclectic bands in the RPI scene. The new scene. There are clear references to the likes of Biglietto Per I' Inferno, Ianva and Picchio Dal Pozzo in their music. Three different bands but still bands who did some very eclectic progressive Italian prog.
The music on the one hour long Odi Et Amo varies from neo-classical music through RPI, symphonic prog and more heavy folk rock.
The music is very complex and it has taken me some time, a long time and pretty intense concentration to really get this album.
Do not expect an easy listening album.
The flute is everywhere and it is tasteful. So is the piano and organ too. The vocals is very good.
The end result is a very good album which really establish this band as one of the more exciting bands in the RPI scene. It is also their best album, so far. Their three albums should be purchased by anyone into complex, eclectic symphonic prog and RPI.
