Motorpsycho - Motorpsycho Presents The International Tussler Society (2004)

The 11th album from this band from Norway.

The band was a trio with a lineup of percussion, drums, bass, guitars, banjo, mandolin and vocals.

A handful of guests added percussion, drums, steel guitars, keyboards, dog barking and vocals.

This album is the follow up to the dreadful alt-country The Tussler album from 1994. An album with the worst possible music. Hence it's turkey status.

That album got them a cult-following. Not as Motorpsycho but as The Tussler. The band therefore returned again, to my horror, to the scene of this crime and released another album in the same vein.

The music is this time a bit more southern rock and it has some better music. There is still some alt-country here, dreadful bad music. But the southern rock is not too bad.

Yes, there is a lot of irony and humour in this The Tussler concept. I get that. I just cannot stand the music as it is poor. There are some decent stuff on this album though and that is the saving grace on this album.
