The debut album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, organ, harpsichord and vocals.
This band released eight albums between 1968 and 1999. They were active until fifteen years ago before they finally were disbanded due to band members passing away. I am reviewing all their eight studio albums this summer and autumn.
The band was never really a progressive rock band. Nevertheless, they were pretty influential on both the progressive rock and the heavy metal scene. Judas Priest covered one of their most known tracks.
Their debut album, the subject of this review, was also released as Tobacco Road in some territories.
The music here is a mix of beat, rock, blues and psych rock.
There is a couple of decent songs here. But most of the songs on this forty minutes long album is pretty poor and half decent. It is not an album that has aged well.
