The debut album from this band from Great Britain.
The band is a sextet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, woodwinds, keyboards and vocals.
This band is from Dumfries in Scotland and they are five girls and one male. They were also voted best newcomers by Prog Magazine last year. That got my attention and I visited their Bandcamp site.
In theory, this makes for some unusual music. And in reallity, this is the case indeed.
Take fusion, mix with space rock, eclectic prog, psych rock, a bit soul and a bit art-rock/pop.
The music is quirky, eclectic and strangely enough melodic too. Erin Bennet's vocals is very good. Her vocals is backed up by some frequent very good vocal harmonies too by the backing vocalists. All of them are female vocals.
There are a couple of very good songs here and a couple of not so good songs. The overall quality is good. Add the fact that their music is both original and fresh.
The band is very active and is working hard this year. A lot of good things can therefore be expected from this band.
Check out this very good album.
