Chameleon - Rising (2013)

The one and only album from this US band.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This album is a collection of recordings this long forgotten band did between 1975 and 1980. It is not a proper studio album. But I have chosen to review it as there are so few reviews of this album out there.

The music is 1970s mix of hard rock, stadium rock, fusion, blues and progressive rock.

They have been influenced by the big bands and names of that era and that is reflected on this eighty minutes long album.

The vocals are good. Raw but good.

The band does their best and some decent to good material. Material which at times is really heavy. Then we get some fusion workouts too.

The end result is a decent to good album which should satisfy those into the 1970s scene. The album is obscure but still worth the effort.
