The seventh album from this band from Sweden.
The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, synths and vocals.
Some guests added percussion, strings and backing vocals.
This album may be an album prog rock snobs will rally against........
Act has made a good career of blending pop and progressive rock. The likes of ABBA, Queen and The Flower Kings. Yes, it may sound improbable and a clash of styles. But it works. It has worked on many albums and they have got a big fanbase.
The music on this half an hour long album is catchy, melodic, poppy.... and it has got a lot of interesting details too. The music is also glamerous. And some of the stuff is really complicated and progressive.
The vocals, and there is three main vocalists here, is very good. Ditto for the vocal harmonies. The strings does a good job and the guitar solos is really good.
The result is a very good album and one to check out.
