Contraluz - Americanos (1973)

The debut album from this band from Argentina.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, flutes and vocals.

This band was one of the first ever rock bands from South America and this album is a historic album, being one of the first ever rock albums from this continent.

The band has released four albums and I am reviewing all of them the upcoming weeks.

The music on this album was sold to me as folk rock.

I do not agree with that.

The music is somewhere between hard psych rock, blues, rock and some folk rock.

The music is at times very hard and wild.

There are also some more pastoral pieces here.

But most of this music is hard and wild.

The quality is decent enough. It is a historic release and should therefore be checked out.
