The second album from this band from Argentina.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
Contraluz split up a couple of years after their debut album due to censorship from the Argentinian regime. The band went into a long hiatus before they reformed just before the end of the last century.
Quite a remarkable history.
The music is on this album is a mix of symphonic prog and folk rock. Prog folk in other words.
There is indeed a lot of Jethro Tull in their music. Contraluz is a Latin American band and we get this Latin American progressive sound and music also on this album.
The Spanish vocals are really good and most of the album has some pretty elegant folk prog.
There are some pastoral pieces on this album too.
The result of this comeback is a good album and one to really enjoy.
Check out this album.
