Schicke & Führs & Fröhling - Ticket To Everywhere (1979)

The third album from this band from Germany.

The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.

This trio was to a certain degree pretty similar til ELP and can be labeled as krautrock's answer to ELP. Which is a pretty precise label too.

The music is a lively mix of kraut and symphonic prog. Eloy is a good reference too.

The music is mid tempo with a lot of neo-classical and German folk music references. A lot of the beer kellers in Munich during the festival springs to mind.

It is well performed and just proves that this is a band who deserve a lot more attention and credit.

This is an enjoyable, although not always a good album. Check it out.
