The debut album from this band from Italy.
The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
A guest added extra vocals.
The Italian progressive rock scene is a scene that is spawning a lot of new bands. That is mostly progressive rock in the more traditional RPI genre. A genre very popular in the 1970s and where the good old masters are still around.
Cambio Della Guardia is taking us back to the RPI scene anno 1971-72. PFM and Banco is references here.
The music is a mix of symphonic prog and more pastoral folk rock.
There is a lot of Italian vocals here and the vocals is very good.
The music is songs based and pastoral. The tempo is slow to mid-tempo.
There is therefore no fireworks in their music. Just some subtle but still classy songs.
This fifty minutes long album is a good album and a good addition to the scene. I hope we will hear a lot more from this band in the future.
