The fourth album from this band from Italy.
The band is a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, keyboards and vocals.
This band album debuted in 1970 with the blues/psych rock album Sirio 2222. They then released a semi-classic prog rock album in 1972 called Ys and a rather forgetable album in 2016.
What a career.....
The band is a RPI band and their music is dark, eclectic RPI on this album. An album I did not expect and whose greatly surprised me when I heard about it.
There is no guitars whatsoever on this album. The vocals and the keyboards is painting the melodies here on a dark canvas. A one hour long album, it is too.
This is a strange, dark album. I can only compare it with the occult rock albums their record label Black Widows Records release from occult rock bands.
This is weird..... but it works. Lemures will go down as one of the weirdest albums in the RPI - Rock Progressive Italiano - genre.
It is also a good album and there is lots of stuff here who will also appeal a great deal to fans of King Crimson and RPI fans.
This is an album well worth checking out.
