The second album from this band from Sweden.
The band was a trio on this album with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
I was not impressed by their debut album Opus Eponymous from 2010. Heavy metal light is what that album contained.
Ghost still managed to get a massive breakthrough with that self-released album. The hype around Ghost has always been massive. I am mystified by their popularity.
On Infestissumam, the band is mixing pop, rock and Blue Oyster Cult like occult rock. The music is melodic and has some football terraces chants. There is also some musicals type of music on this album.
But most of all, the music is pretty epic and gothic. It plays a lot on the Catholic Church. Which is a bit odd as there is hardly anyone in Sweden who shares the Catholic faith. Sweden is a staunch protestant and atheist country.
The music is decent throughout. There is not much substance behind this band's standing beside of their Catholic and satanic imagery. Music wise, this is pretty poor fare.
