Manitou - Entrance (1995)

The one and only album from this band from Norway.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This band only released this album before they gave up the ghost. Most of their members later joined other bands like Spiral Architect and Scariot.

Entrance is regarded as one of the first and most influential Norwegian progressive metal albums. Many, many other albums from many bands has followed hot in it's heals. An album overdue a re-release.

The music on Entrance is at the darker side of the progressive metal spectrum. There is more heavy and power metal here than progressive rock.

The music is still progressive enough for this progressive metal genre.

The music is hard though...... mostly. There is a couple of softer songs where the vocalist shows a more mature side of his vocals.

The vocals is good and typical for this genre.

The music is barely decent. Still... this album deserve some attention and credit from the metal crowd.
