The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This is the comeback album from a band who everyone thought were gone and done. Their first three albums had not really been impressive and there was not much demand for a new album from this band.
The band were always and still is a neo-prog band. Their music is both rooted in Genesis, Pendragon and Marillion.
On Hard Times, there is also some pretty strong Yes vibes. Not at least on the long songs here. We get two songs between eleven and eighteen minutes plus two eight minutes long songs. Yes, the music is indeed a mix of neo-prog and symphonic prog.
The sound is contemporary and fresh. The vocals is good.
The quality of the music is good to very good. Mostly very good and I am really surprised by this album. This is an album you should check out.
