The debut album from this band from Great Britain.
The band is a sextet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This band is the brainchild of the bassist and wordsmith Gerald Freeman. The band has gigged and recorded this album during the last couple of years. The band has also started work on the follow up album.
Gerald Freeman wanted to re-create the early days of Genesis. Not their debut album. But rather their Trespass and the three early Peter Gabriel albums.
The guitars sounds more like Anthony Phillips than Steve Hackett. I guess that says everything about the era this band prefers.
This one hour long album is not a tribute album with every sound and tone recreated. The band has also added their own personality and experiences. The average age on the band members seems like fifty so these band members has been around the block, several times.
The music is very complex. The vocals and guitars are good. There is even a reggae theme on one of the songs.
This album has a nice balance between retro and contemporary sound and music.
The quality is very good throughout and this is an album Genesis and symphonic prog fans should pick up.
