The fifth album from this band from Norway.
The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, percussion, guitars, organ, piano and synths.
Kanaan is one of the most interesting Norwegian fusion and jazz bands at the moment. And this is a great scene these days. Well, it has always been strong.... since the early 1970s.
The band also strays into progressive rock on a frequent basis. This is why I and many other counts Kanaan among the many fine Norwegian progressive rock bands too.
The music on this three quarters of an hour long album incorporates space rock, eclectic prog, fusion and jazz.
The music is instrumental and pretty mellow. It is also pretty introvert and pastoral.
The musicians is top notch and among the better one in the scene. The amount of details each musician add to this album is staggering. This makes this album a good album and one to check out.
Kanaan is up there among the best bands and all their albums should be checked out.
