King's X - Ear Candy (1996)

The sixth album from this band from USA.

The band is a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

A handful of guests added percussion and vocals.

A new album with a new band logo and a hippie psych rock like album art-work. Their record label Atlantic was trying to rebrand the band. They and most others did not really understand what to make of this band.

I understand Atlantic and those who has struggled. This band is totally unique and once in a century event.

The band tried to both grunge up and add some psych rock to their sound and music. But the core is still there.....thankfully.

Their attempts to add something more, something they are not, to the music, mostly fell flat on it's face on this album.

Despite of this, the music is pretty good though. There is a couple of substandard songs and a couple of very good songs.

This is by no means a bad album. It is still their weakest album to that date.
