Ekseption - Mindmirror (1975)

The eight album from this band from The Netherlands.

The band was a sextet on this album with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, piano, organ, trumpet and saxophone.

A guest added voices.

This is the second and final album in his band's fusion period.

The founders of this band had left the band well before their previous album Bingo and we got some members who preferred fusion instead of their normal fare...... symphonic prog.

This reminds me about when Gong went fusion too. They released some very good fusion albums.

Bingo was a good album. Mindmirror is more an all out fusion album without any of the neo classical music detours Bingo had.

The music here is also leaning towards Focus at times too.

The quality is decent enough. The album is suffering from the lack of great or even good piece of music. The band then promptly reinstalled the old regime and returned to what made their name.
