Electric Sun - Earthquake (1979)

The debut album from this band from Germany.

The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

This band is the band Uli Roth formed after he had left Scorpions. He played on a handful of Scorpions albums before he left them and went his own ways.

First step was setting up Electric Sun. This band released three albums before they split up and Uli Roth became a true solo artist. Something he still is as he is touring his own band.

I got the three Electric Sun albums for review this winter.

The music on this album is a mix of psych rock and hard rock. There is indeed a lot of Eloy influences on this album.

There is a lot of spaced out psych rock towards the end of this album. This after a bit of a restrained hard rock influenced beginning.

Uli Roth's dominates the music and that is very much so on the final half of this album where this album is a psych rock album.

The result is a decent album and one to check out for those into psych rock full of hard and wild guitar solos.
