The fourth and so far latest album from this band from Sweden.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, harmonium, bouzouki, dulcimer, recorder, harp, clavinet, grand piano, organ and vocals.
A guest added violins.
Ritual was a band who were around before The Flower Kings made Scandinavian symphonic prog really popular.
Ritual still had a lot of fans with their mix of Scandinavian symphonic prog and eclectic prog. Kind of The Flower Kings meets Gentle Giant with King Crimson playing in the background.
The vocals is very good and the soundscape is very lush.
The melodies is intricate and complex. Most of the stuff is still pretty melodic with a nice Scandinavian undertone and ambience.
The result is a very good album and one who cement their status as one of the most important ever Swedish bands. Check out this band.
