Milkbone - Milkbone (2022)

The debut album from this band from England.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and trombone.

A guest added female vocals on the final track on this album.

This is a new name on the scene and the album was released in january this year. It is overdue a review in other words.

The band members are veterans in the scene. Mostly in the studio musicians scene. So it was about time they released an album together.

The music is a mix of jazz and fusion. Canterbury scene jazz and fusion, that is. The final track is a vocal jazz track.

Some of the music on this fifty minutes long album is a bit on the avant-garde end of the spectrum. But most of the music is pretty melodic.

The quality is somewhere between decent and good. There is no great piece of music here but this album has some good details.

Check out this album if jazz and fusion floats your boat.
