The second album from this band from Canada.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, cello, percussion and vocals.
This is their real debut album, the band has said many times.
The self-titled album that came before this one was not a bad album. I would not be too ashamed of it.
Splendor Solis is an album that made many think that The Tea Party would inherit Rush many fans and the title as Canada's best band.
Take a big chunk of Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin and King's X, add some blues and some rock too. There is even some Rush and The Beatles in their sound and music. Even Buffalo Springfield springs to mind here.
Jeff Martin's vocals is very good here and the musicians comes up with a lot of interesting details.
The result is a very good album. It is also a fascinating album and one to grab the attention of the listener.
This band sounds like the real thing to me.
