The fifth album from this band from Sweden.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, synths, vocoder and vocals.
Some guests added a string orchestra, keyboards and vocals.
I discovered far too late that I have actually not reviewed the first four albums from this band from Sweden and that their fifth album is my first review of one of their albums. I need to rectify that in due time.
The band was a pretty big band in their time. They were a connection between mainstream music and the progressive rock scene too. They were indeed coveted by the mainstream media throughout their life.
The music is a mix of neo-prog, art-rock and mainstream rock. There is also a lot of Queen in their music. Even ABBA is not a bad reference.
The music is most of all pomp rock with some big and bold melodies. The strings orchestra is never far away in their sound.
Yes, the music is a bit circus and glamerous. The vocals is really glamerous and good.
This is still a good, one hour long album and one to check out.
