Tea Club.The - General Winter's Secret Museum (2008)

The debut album from this band from USA.

The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

The band has released five albums and I got them all up for review this winter.

The band is from New York if I am not much mistaken. Actually, they are from New Jersey, an area just outside New York. Bruce Springsteen, Little Steven and Bon Jovi is the more famous artists from New Jersey.

The music is very much eclectic art rock with a lot of psych rock and post rock references. There are also some Velvet Underground and David Bowie influences here.

The music sounds very urban, indeed. And artistic.

The music also sounds a bit dirty. That goes for the guitars and some of the vocals. The vocals is good and the vocalists manages to vary the vocals from classy shopping streets to backalleys where the cats are fighting over the scraps from the butchers.

Some of the half acoustic guitars are also very jazzy while some of the guitar cascades has clear both hard rock and post rock references.

The songs are pretty good but their sound is even better. This is indeed a good album and one to check out.
