ICU - Moonlight Flit (1993)

The debut album from this band from Germany.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

Two guests added flute and vocals.

The band released three albums before they gave up the ghost. I am reviewing these three albums this month.

The band is listed as a symphonic prog band several places. That cannot be based on what we get on this, their debut album.

Mid 1980s neo-prog is what we get here. Neo-prog in British vein is what we get here. References are Pallas and Pendragon.

The music is very melodic with some good keyboards and guitars. The vocals are good.

The sound is the typical 1990s neo-prog sound. It it not muscular at all. The music is not complex either.

Some of the songs are good and some are rather decent. There are not many interesting details here.

This is a promising debut album and but I hope the two remaining albums is better than this album.
