Kornmo - Svartisen (2017)

The debut album from this Norwegian band.

The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and keyboards.

Kornmo was formed out of the remnants of another Norwegian band; Morild.

I believe this ex self-released album got an official release through their record label earlier this month. That explains why it popped up in my email as a new album.

The sound still sounds like it is self-released.

The music is instrumental symphonic prog with some folk rock influences.

There are also a lot of Morild in their music. Camel is also present in their sound.

The music is not particular technical. Some of the parts is epic and bold.

The music on this one hour long album is decent enough. It is an album for the fans of Scandinavian symphonic prog and just that.

I am not won over.
