Runemagick - On Funeral Wings (2004)

The seventh album from this band from Sweden.

The band was a trio on this album with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

The band was still trading in the death metal genre. The music here is not overly technical too.

Their brand of death metal is indeed rooted in the early 1990s Florida scene.

Nevertheless, the band was still on a move towards more doom metal. The music was becoming more gothic, more darker.

This album is also seventy-five minutes long and it has got some more ambient stuff too.

The sound is darker too and the vocals more muddy.

The music is pretty decent throughout. This is not their finest moment. Nevertheless, it is an album death metal fans will appreciate.
