Convivium - Convivium (1971)

The one and only album from this band from Norway.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of guitars, flute, percussion, bass and vocals.

The band was formed in Oslo, the capitol of Norway, and gigged in the clubs and cafeterias in and around Oslo. Then, the band split up and this album was forgotten until it was re-released on CD last year through the Norske Albumklassikere series.

The music on this album is acid-folk rock. The band was a far more acid-folk rock band than the likes of Folque. The lyrics is also a mix of tragic topics. From poverty to tragic love.

The music is vocals orientated. But there is still some good details in their music. The female vocals is good.

The melodies, details and music is all decent enough. This is an album fans of acid-folk should check out. I am glad that this album is now out on CD. It deserves a new life.
