The 17th album from this band from Norway.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
Two guests added guitars, keyboards and mellotron.
The band scaled back again after their 2012 album The Death Defying Unicorn. A big album with a big sound.
Still Life With Eggplant sees a more stripped down album. The music is psych rock and still very much with the Motorpsycho sound. No other band sounds like them, indeed.
The songs are well crafted with some visits into space rock territory now and then on this three quarters of an hour long album.
The vocals is good and there is a lot of interesting details here.
The result is a good album and one that is as intriguing as most of their albums.
Check out this album.
