Führs & Fröhling - Strings (1979)

The second album from this duo.

The band was a quartet though with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, vocals and keyboards.

This duo worked on and off together with Edward Schicke as Schicke & Fuhrs & Frohling. The trio split into a this duo for three albums and this is the second of these albums.

Their debut as a duo was Ammerland from 1978 and that was a decent album. See my review posted earlier this year.

The music on Strings has a lot in common with Mike Oldfield in his most pastoral, acoustic moments. The music is mostly made by piano, keyboards and acoustic guitars. It is pretty ambient and pastoral. The music is pretty slow too. Very slow at times.

The music can be labeled as neo-classical or ambient music.

The quality is decent enough and this album should find an appreciative audience. Check it out.
