Abacus - Everything You Need (1972)

The second album from this band from Germany.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, organ, piano, keyboards, synths and vocals.

I reviewed their debut album back in September 2012 and liked it a lot.

For some reasons, I did not continue to review the rest of their albums. I will this spring review their remaining five albums.

The music on this forty minutes long album is mostly pop and rock. Vaudeville and a bit quirky pop and rock, but still in that genre.

There is very little prog here. There is some early symphonic prog here and that is all. The music is to a large extent poppy krautrock, though. The band comes from the krautrock scene.

The songs are catchy despite of being a bit quirky.

The quality is still pretty decent. I was so looking forward to sinking my teeth into this album.... Nevertheless, it is still a decent album. The title track is the highlight here and it is a good song.
