The second album from this band from Norway.
The band is a sextet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
I am not a big fan of their 2021 debut album Solrenning. Nevertheless, the band showcased a band with a lot of talent. Talent I was hoping we would see a lot more of on this, their second album.
The music on this forty minutes long album is a mix of post-rock, post-metal, psych rock and...... Norwegian folk music. An odd blend which gives the band their own identity.
The use of some very good female vocals, is a good thing here. It serves as the cream on the cream cake.
Before we have arrived at the cream, the band also does a good job over some melancholic, atmospheric music.
The vocals are in Norwegian and there is some proper songs here too. The best parts of this album is the more post-rock stuff. Nevertheless, the mix on this album is clever, good and original.
This is a band well worth keeping an eye on. They may go far.
